Industrial Training Internship at South East Central Railway (SECR) – 2025

South East Central Railway (SECR), one of the key zones under Indian Railways headquartered in Bilaspur, has announced a golden opportunity for regular undergraduate students pursuing engineering, management, and technical education to undergo Industrial (Vocational) Training for the academic year 2025.

The training program is designed to provide practical exposure to students in various technical and administrative departments of the railway sector, enhancing their employability and helping them meet their academic internship requirements.

Students from both railway and non-railway quota institutions can apply. The training will be conducted across several departments such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical, Civil, IT, Finance, and Human Resource Management, among others.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the SECR Industrial Training Program 2025, candidates must meet the following conditions:

1. Educational Qualification:
   • Must be a regular undergraduate student enrolled in a recognized institution (engineering, ITI, management, or technical field).
2. Discipline-Specific Criteria:
   • Students must belong to one of the following streams, depending on department availability: Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, IT, ECE, HR, Finance, or Material Management.
3. Institutional Endorsement:
   • Application must be either endorsed by the candidate’s college/institution or submitted with a forwarding letter from the institution.
4. Previous Training:
   • The candidate must not have undergone any similar industrial or vocational training previously. A declaration letter confirming this must be submitted at the time of joining.
5. Nationality:
   • Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.

Salary / Stipend

• Remuneration: None
  This is an unpaid industrial training program. No salary, stipend, or other financial benefits will be provided to the selected students. The value of this training lies in practical exposure and the experience certificate provided upon successful completion.

Selection Process

The selection for industrial training will be carried out as per the following procedure:

1. Screening of Applications:
   • All applications will be scrutinized based on eligibility, academic discipline, and availability of seats.
2. Institutional Endorsement:
   • Preference may be given to candidates whose applications are endorsed by their educational institutions.
3. Declaration Compliance:
   • Students must submit a declaration that they have not participated in a similar industrial training before.
4. Approval by Authorities:
   • Final selection will be subject to approval from the competent authorities within South East Central Railway.

There is no written test or interview. Selection is based purely on documentation and eligibility.

   • Obtain endorsement or forwarding letter from the college or institute. This should confirm that the candidate is a regular student enrolled for the academic year 2025.
