Eligibility Criteria

A. Professor

• Essential Qualifications:
  • Doctoral degree accompanied by a first-class standing or its equivalent in the prior academic qualification.
  • Minimum 10 years of post-PhD teaching/research experience (India or abroad).
  • At least 4 years as Associate Professor in institutions like IITs, IISc, IIMs, Central/State Universities, or National Labs.
• Desirable:
  • Strong research publications and leadership in academia.

B. Assistant Professor

• Essential Qualifications:
  • Doctoral degree accompanied by a first-class standing or its equivalent in the prior academic qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years of post-PhD teaching/research/industry experience.
• Desirable:
  • Prior teaching experience and research publications.

Salary and Benefits

1. Professor

• Pay Level: Academic Pay Level-14A
• Entry Pay: ₹1,59,100/- per month
• Additional Allowances:
  • House Rent Allowance (HRA)
  • Dearness Allowance (DA)
  • Transport Allowance
  • Children’s Education Allowance
  • Medical benefits, LTC, and other perks as per government norms.

2. Assistant Professor

• Pay Level: Academic Pay Level-12
• Entry Pay: ₹1,01,500/- per month
• Additional Allowances: Same as Professor (HRA, DA, Transport, etc.).
