Tenure of Appointment
- Deputation: Initially for 3 years (extendable)
Educational Qualification
- B.Tech in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a government-recognized university/institute
Eligibility Criteria
- Experience in Government/PSUs/Metro Projects:
- Must be working in SAG or equivalent grade for at least 2 years
- Pay Scale: Rs. 1,20,000 – 2,80,000 (IDA) or Rs. 1,44,200 – 2,18,200 (Level-14, 7th CPC CDA)
- Must have a minimum of 20 years of executive-level experience
- Private Sector Experience Consideration:
- Executives currently in Government/PSU roles who have earlier worked in the private sector can count relevant private sector experience toward the 20 years, subject to proof.
Work Experience Requirement
- At least 5 years’ experience in planning, construction, tendering, and execution of large multi-disciplinary infrastructure/metro/railway projects.
- Experience in underground metro construction including tunnels.
- Familiarity with all phases of international project contracts including planning, bidding, execution, and commissioning.
- Understanding of safety norms and obtaining CMRS certification.
Desirable Experience
- Experience with international funding institutions.
- Interface coordination with railway systems (track, signaling, electrification, rolling stock).
- Strong grasp of land acquisition and rehabilitation processes.
Job Description
The Project Director will be responsible for:
- Overall project management for civil construction activities
- Ensuring quality control, safety compliance, and progress monitoring
- Interfacing with design, track work, systems, and contracting teams
- Managing tender processes, budgeting, and cost control
- Coordination for land acquisition, utility relocation, and obtaining statutory approvals
Age Limit
- Maximum Age: 57 years (as on the closing date)
Mode of Selection
- Selection will be based on interview only.

- Higher experience in the relevant field
