 Eligibility Criteria

A. Age Limit (as on the date of vacancy)

• Minimum Age: 45 years
• Age Limit: Internal candidates (from RVNL/CPSEs) must have a minimum of 2 years of service remaining before reaching the superannuation age of 60 years, while external candidates must have at least 3 years left.

B. Educational Qualification

• Qualification: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university or institution.
• Desirable: MBA/PGDM (preferred but not mandatory).

C. Experience Required

• Experience Required: Candidates should possess at least 5 years of senior-level experience in project planning, implementation, or construction activities, preferably within the railway, highway, or metro sectors.
• Candidates must be working at Board level or one level below in:
  • CPSEs / Government (Joint Secretary or equivalent)
  • State PSUs / Private Sector (companies with ₹5,000+ crore turnover)

Salary & Pay Scale

• For CPSE Candidates:
  • Eligible scales: ₹72,500-₹82,500 (Pre-1992) to ₹1,20,000-₹2,80,000 (Post-2017) as per IDA.
• For Government Officers:
  • Pay Level 14 (₹1,44,200-₹2,18,200) as per 7th CPC.
• Private Sector Candidates: Must be drawing a comparable salary.

Selection Process

1. Shortlisting: Based on eligibility and experience.
2. Personal Interview: Conducted by Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB).
3. Final Appointment: Subject to Government approval.
