IPPB Recruitment 2025: Apply for COO, CCO & Internal Ombudsman Roles

India Post Payments Bank (IPPB), a Government of India undertaking, is inviting applications from qualified and experienced professionals for the positions of Chief Operating Officer (COO), Chief Compliance Officer (CCO), and Internal Ombudsman on a contract basis. Interested candidates can apply online within the stipulated dates.

Eligibility Criteria:

The age and post-qualification experience required as of March 1, 2025, for each position are:

Job Descriptions and Minimum Eligibility Criteria:

Chief Compliance Officer (CCO)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with regulations, rules, and standards.
  • Provide clarity on compliance-related issues.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop risk-oriented activity plans.
  • Monitor compliance and report failures to relevant authorities.
  • Ensure adherence to RBI and other regulatory requirements.

Educational Qualification:

  • Graduate in any discipline (Preference for CA/CS/MBA Finance/Post Graduate degree).
  • Certified Banking Compliance Professional by IIBF is preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum 18 years in banking/financial services.
  • At least 5 years in Audit/Finance/Compliance/Legal/Risk Management at a senior management level.

Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead operations, including customer onboarding, service, technology, HR, and vendor relationships.
  • Develop operational policies, frameworks, and risk management strategies.
  • Align operations with the Department of Post (DoP) and Government of India.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and customer service excellence.

Educational Qualification:

  • Graduate in any discipline.

Experience:

  • Minimum 18 years in Banks/Financial Institutions.
  • Minimum 10 years in banking operations.
  • Worked in a position not below three levels from MD & CEO for at least two years in the last five years.

Internal Ombudsman

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as an Internal Ombudsman to strengthen the grievance redressal system.
  • Reduce complaints escalated to the Banking Ombudsman.
  • Handle internal grievance resolution within the bank.

Educational Qualification:

  • Graduate in any discipline.

Experience:

  • Retired or serving officer not below Deputy General Manager rank.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in banking, regulation, supervision, payments, settlements, or consumer protection.

Selection Process:

  • Selection will be based on an Interview.
  • The bank reserves the right to conduct additional assessments, Group Discussions, or Online Tests.

Compensation & Contract Terms:

  • COO & CCO: Contract for 3 years (extendable up to 2 more years based on performance).

  • Competitive remuneration as per industry standards.

Job Location:

  • Corporate Office, New Delhi.
  • Candidates must be willing to relocate anywhere in India as per the bank’s requirements.
