Important Application Details
Application Submission: All applications must be completed online through the official NFR website. Registration Number: A unique registration ID will be generated upon successful submission of the application. Keep this ID secure for future communications. One Application Rule: Each candidate should apply only once. Multiple submissions will result in automatic disqualification.
Selection Process: The selection procedure for candidates will be carried out through the following stages:
Merit-Based Selection
- Matriculation + ITI Marks: Candidates will be shortlisted based on their marks in Matriculation (with a minimum of 50%) and their ITI trade marks.
- For Laboratory Technician Posts: The selection will be determined by the marks obtained in Matriculation and 12th-grade Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology).
Unit and Trade-Specific Merit
- Merit lists will be compiled based on the available vacancies, unit-wise, trade-wise, and community-wise.
- In the event of a tie in marks, preference will be given to the older candidate. If the birthdates are the same, priority will be given to the candidate who completed Matriculation first.
Document Verification
- Candidates who are shortlisted (1.5 times the number of vacancies) will be called for document verification in the respective units/divisions.
Medical Fitness
- Candidates who clear the document verification stage will be required to submit medical fitness certificates as per the prescribed guidelines.

Trade and Qualifications
Here are the details for some of the trades and their corresponding minimum qualification and training period:
- Mechanics and Technicians:
- Plumber, Carpenter, Welder, Electrician: 1-year training.
- Mechanic Machine Tool Maintenance, Fitter, Turner, Machinist: 1-year training.
- Electrical and Electronics:
- Electrician (including TRD), Lineman: 1-year training.
- Electronics Mechanic: 1-year training.
- Mechanical and Civil Engineering:
- Mechanic Refrigeration and Air Conditioning: 1-year training.
- Draughtsman (Civil/Mechanical): 1-year training.
- Advanced Mechanic and Operator:
- Advanced Machine Tool Maintenance, Operator: 1-year training.
- Diesel Mechanic, Diesel Electrical: 1-year training.
- Miscellaneous Trades:
- Quality Assurance Assistant, Jigs and Fixtures Maker: 1-year training.
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit:
Candidates must be within the age range of 15 to 24 years as of the notification closing date.
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
- PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disability): 10 years
- Ex-Servicemen: Additional 10 years, with conditions based on the length of service.
Categories and Reservations:
- SC/ST & OBC (NCL): Candidates applying under these categories must provide valid caste certificates.
- Economically Weaker Section (EWS): 10% reservation is available for EWS candidates, with certificates issued after April 2024.
- Ex-Servicemen (ExSM): Candidates must submit discharge/serving certificates and will be considered under the ExSM quota.
Application Fee
- Fee: ₹100 for general candidates (paid online).
- Exemption: No fee for SC/ST, PwBD, EBC, and women candidates.
