Selection Process
Merit List Preparation:
- The merit list will be based on the average percentage of marks in matriculation (minimum 50% aggregate) and ITI marks in the respective trade.
- In case of a tie, preference will be given to the candidate with an older age. If the age is the same, the candidate who completed matriculation first will be prioritized.
Eligibility Criteria
Age Requirements:
- Minimum Age: Applicants should have reached the age of 15 years.
- Maximum Age: Applicants must not exceed 24 years of age as of 10th December 2024.
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST Candidates: The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years.
- OBC Candidates: The upper age limit is relaxed by 3 years.
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): The upper age limit is relaxed by 10 years.
- Ex-Servicemen: The upper age limit is relaxed by up to 10 years, plus an additional 3 years based on the length of service in the Defence Forces, provided they have served a minimum of 6 months consecutively.
Ex-Servicemen Consideration:
Ex-Servicemen who have taken up government jobs after availing Ex-Servicemen status will be considered under the Ex-Servicemen quota, if available. If no vacancies exist under the Unreserved (UR) category, Ex-Servicemen from the respective communities where vacancies are available will be considered.
Reservation Benefits
SC/ST Candidates:
- Must provide a caste certificate in the Central Government format.
OBC Candidates:
- Must provide a caste certificate along with a Non-Creamy Layer Certificate issued after 01.04.2024.
EWS Candidates:
- Must submit an EWS certificate in the prescribed format.
Ex-Servicemen and Armed Forces Personnel:
- Must produce a discharge certificate or an Armed Forces serving certificate.
Ex-Servicemen Reservation: Ex-Servicemen candidates, once selected under the reservation, will be classified in their respective category (UR/SC/ST/OBC). Reservation is available for:
- Children of deceased/disabled Ex-Servicemen, including those killed or disabled during peacetime.
- Children of Ex-Servicemen.
- Children of Serving jawans.
- Children of Serving officers.
- Ex-Servicemen themselves.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have successfully completed the 10th class (under the 10+2 system) with at least 50% aggregate marks (without rounding off) from a recognized board. Additionally, candidates should possess a National Trade Certificate in the relevant trade issued by either the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) or the State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT).
Fee Payment Details
- Application Fee: ₹100 for all applicants, except for the categories mentioned below.
- Exemptions: SC/ST candidates, PwBD candidates, and Women candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.
Payment Process:
- Online Payment: Applicants will be directed to a payment gateway after completing the online form.
- Payment Issues: In case of transaction failure or internet issues where the fee is deducted but the application is not completed, candidates should click on the “Verify Payment” button to confirm the payment status.
- Payment Methods: Debit/credit cards and internet banking are accepted.
- Receipt: Candidates must retain the e-receipt generated after the successful transaction for their records.
Standards of Fitness for PwD Candidates
Eligible Disabilities:
- Locomotor Disability (LD): Candidates with specific disabilities affecting the upper or lower limbs.
- Hearing Impairment (HI): Candidates with a hearing loss of 60 decibels or more in the better ear in conversational frequency range.
- Visually Impaired (VI): Candidates with low vision, as defined by specific criteria.
- Multiple Disabilities (MD): Candidates with more than one type of disability.
Disability Certificate: Candidates requesting reservation benefits must provide a relevant disability certificate issued by a competent authority, such as a Medical Board formed by the Central or State Government.
