Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL), a government-owned enterprise under the Department of Atomic Energy, is calling for applications for Graduate Engineer Apprentices (GEA) and Technician Apprentices (TA) for the year 2024-25. ECIL, based in Hyderabad, is a leading player in strategic electronics, providing innovative solutions across diverse sectors including Nuclear, Defence, Security, Aerospace, Information Technology, Telecom, and e-Governance. As part of its commitment to developing skilled manpower, ECIL is looking to engage apprentices under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961 for one-year training across multiple engineering disciplines.

    Monthly Stipend

    • Graduate Engineer Apprentices (GEA): Rs. 9,000 per month
    • Technician Apprentices (TA): Rs. 8,000 per month

    This competitive stipend ensures that apprentices are supported during their learning period, which will last for one year starting from January 1, 2025.

    Age Limit and Relaxation

    • The maximum age limit for candidates is 25 years as on 31st December 2024.
    • Age relaxation is available as per government norms:
      • 5 years for SC/ST candidates
      • 3 years for OBC-NC candidates
      • 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (PWD)

    Eligibility Criteria

    To apply for the positions of Graduate Engineer Apprentice (GEA) or Technician Apprentice (TA), candidates must meet the following qualifications:

    1. Graduate Engineer Apprentices (GEA): Candidates should have completed their B.E./B.Tech. in the relevant engineering disciplines (as mentioned above) from an AICTE-approved institution or recognized Indian universities on or after April 1, 2022.
    2. Technician Apprentices (TA): Candidates should have completed a 3-year Diploma in the relevant engineering disciplines (as mentioned above) from an AICTE-approved institution or recognized Indian universities on or after April 1, 2022.

    Application Process

    Interested candidates must apply online on the official ECIL website. The last date for submitting online applications is 1st December 2024 (23:59 hrs). It is important that candidates ensure they meet the eligibility requirements and submit all necessary documentation.

    Selection Process

    The selection process for the apprenticeship training will involve the following steps:

    1. Online Application Review: After submitting online applications, candidates will be shortlisted based on their qualifications and eligibility.
    2. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification at the Corporate Learning & Development Centre (CLDC), ECIL Hyderabad. The verification will be held between 9th December to 11th December 2024. Candidates must bring their original documents and a set of photocopies, including:
      • Online registered application form
      • Date of birth proof, identity proof (e.g., Aadhaar, Passport)
      • Educational qualification certificates
      • Latest caste and disability certificates (if applicable)
      • Category certificate (for SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates)
    3. Merit-based Selection: After document verification, the final selection will be based on the merit list derived from the candidate’s academic performance (B.E./B.Tech consolidated marks for GEAs and Diploma consolidated marks for TAs). In case candidates have CGPA, they must provide a certificate converting CGPA to percentage marks.
