Employment Notice 2025 – Sainik School Tilaiya Invites Applications for Contractual Posts

Sainik School Tilaiya, a premier residential school under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), invites applications from eligible Indian citizens for various contractual positions. Application Fees:

Applicants are required to submit a non-refundable Demand Draft (DD) along with their application form as per the following structure:

• General/OBC Candidates: ₹400/-
• SC/ST Candidates: ₹250/-

The Demand Draft should be issued in the name of the Principal, Sainik School Tilaiya, and payable at the State Bank of India, Sainik School Tilaiya Branch.

Eligibility Criteria:

A. TGT (Social Science / Gen Science – Physics / Mathematics):

Educational Qualifications (for all TGT posts):

• Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the subject(s) concerned as well as in aggregate, along with B.Ed or equivalent qualification.

Subject-specific requirements:

• TGT (Social Science):
  • A graduate with any two of the following subjects: Geography, History, Economics, or Political Science.
  • One of the subjects must be either Geography or History.
  • Honors degree candidates must meet specific subject combination requirements and have a minimum of 50% marks in both core and supporting subjects, and in aggregate.
• TGT (Gen Science – Physics):
  • A Bachelor’s degree with Physics and any two of the following subjects: Mathematics, Chemistry, Electronics, Computer Science, or Statistics.
• TGT (Mathematics):
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, along with any two of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Electronics, Computer Science, or Statistics.

B. Counselor

Educational Qualifications (any one of the following):

• M.A. or M.Sc. in Psychology accompanied by a one-year regular postgraduate diploma in Guidance and Counselling. M.A., M.Sc., or M.Com with B.Ed. or M.Ed. transparent; and a one-year regular postgraduate diploma in Guidance and Counselling.
• B.A. or B.Sc.in Psychology with either a certificate or a diploma qualification in Counselling

Desirable Qualification:

• At least one year of relevant experience in delivering educational and psychological counseling to school students.

Age Criteria:

• Candidates should be between 21 and 35 years of age as of 1st April 2025.

C. Band Master

Essential Qualification:

• Successfully completed the Band Master, Band Major, or Drum Major training course from AEC Training College and Centre, Pachmarhi.
  OR
• Equivalent training from the Navy or Air Force.

Desirable Qualification:

• Proficiency in spoken English.

Age Criteria:

• Applicants must be between 18 and 50 years of age as of 1st April 2025.

D. Ward Boy

Essential Qualification:

• Matriculation (Class 10) from a recognized educational board.
• Must be fluent in spoken English.

Desirable Qualifications:

• A graduate degree (B.A., B.Sc., or B.Com).
• Participation or interest in sports, arts, or music.
• Prior experience in supervising or managing children in a hostel setting.
• Basic knowledge of computer operations.
• Good physical fitness.

Age Criteria:

• The age should be between 18 and 50 years as on 1st April 2025.

Salary Details:

• TGT (All subjects) and Counselor:
  ₹44,900/- per month (Consolidated). No other allowances or benefits.
• Band Master:
  ₹29,200/- per month (Consolidated). No additional benefits.
• Ward Boy:
  ₹19,900/- per month (Consolidated). No other allowances.Selection Process:The recruitment procedure for all positions will comprise the following phases:
  1. Written Test
  2. Skill Test / Practical Test
  3. Interview (where applicable)
  Only candidates who are shortlisted will receive information regarding the date and location of the selection process. No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the test or interview.

5. Accommodation and Meals:
   • Rent-free accommodation within the school campus and free meals with cadets in the mess will be provided to selected candidates during the contract period.
