Kolkata Metro Rail Corporation Limited (KMRCL), a Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Railways, is tasked with the implementation of the East-West Metro Corridor Project in Kolkata. The project is one of India’s most critical and ambitious urban transit projects, with the goal of linking Howrah in the west to Salt Lake in the east by a new metro system. In order to further enhance its administrative and human resource management, KMRCL is inviting applications for the Manager (HR) post on deputation basis. The post provides a chance for suitable and experienced government or PSU officers to contribute to the country’s infrastructure development while enhancing their professional careers.

Eligibility
Pay Scale Criteria
Applicants must currently be serving in one of the following pay scales:
- CDA Pay Scale (as per 7th Central Pay Commission):
Pay Level 11 (₹67,700 – ₹2,08,700)
OR
- IDA Pay Scale (as per 3rd PRC):
₹70,000 – ₹2,00,000 (E4 Grade or its equivalent)
Service Experience
Eligible candidates should be:
- Officials serving in the Human Resources or Personnel Wing of Indian Railways
OR - RBSS cadre officers currently serving at the Railway Board
OR - Officers from Railway PSUs or other Central PSUs engaged in HR functions
Age Limit
- The candidate must not be above 55 years of age as on 01st July 2025.
Medical Standards
- The candidate must be mentally sound and physically fit to carry out the responsibilities associated with the post.
Vigilance and Integrity Conditions
- The candidate must be:
- Free from any disciplinary or vigilance proceedings
- Not listed in any Secret or Agreed List
Salary
- The selected candidate will continue to draw their parent pay (Pay Level 11)
- Benefits and applicable allowances for deputation will be provided in accordance with the prevailing rules and guidelines of KMRCL.

Selection Process
The selection will be based on:
- Scrutiny of Application Documents
- This includes verification of bio-data, eligibility, qualifications, and service records.
- Assessment of APARs
- Annual Performance Appraisal Reports (APARs) of the last five years must be submitted.
- Interview
- Shortlisted candidates may be called for an interview to assess their suitability for the post based on experience in HR management and understanding of personnel policies.
- Final Approval
- Selection will be finalized upon the approval of the Competent Authority in the Ministry of Railways.
