The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) Ltd., a prestigious joint venture between the Government of India and the Government of the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi, is responsible for Developing a rail-driven Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS) to serve Delhi and its surrounding areas. DMRC, popularly known as the Lifeline of Delhi, operates with a workforce of approximately 14,000 employees and handles an average of 61 lakh passenger journeys daily in the Delhi/NCR area.
Apart from operating and expanding the metro network in Delhi, DMRC extends its expertise by providing consultancy services to several cities within India and abroad. To fulfill its urgent need for skilled, energetic, and dedicated professionals to carry out the Inspection, Testing, and Commissioning of the newly produced RS-17 Rolling Stock at Sricity, Chennai, DMRC is inviting applications. The engagement will be on either Deputation or Post Retirement Contractual Engagement (PRCE) basis. The selected candidates will bring their technical expertise to DMRC and contribute to crucial inspection-related responsibilities for the new rolling stock.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Applicants should hold a Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institute.
Professional Experience
- Must have minimum 5 years of relevant experience in any of the following areas:
- Inspection of manufacturing of Railway/Metro Coaches
- Maintenance of Railway/Metro Rolling Stock
- Working in Railway Workshops or Railway Production Units
Work Background
- Candidates must be either:
- Working in or retired from Railways, Government Organizations, CPSUs, or Metro Organizations, including those who have served on deputation.
- Candidates still in regular service must be willing to retire voluntarily (through VRS or otherwise) before joining DMRC.
Age Limit
- For Deputation: Maximum 55 years
- For PRCE (Post Retirement Contractual Engagement): Minimum 55 years and Maximum 62 years

For Deputation Candidates
- Candidates should be working or retired from the following pay levels:
- CDA Pay Scales:
- Level-6 (Rs. 35,400 – 1,12,400)
- Level-7 (Rs. 44,900 – 1,42,400)
- IDA Pay Scales:
- Rs. 37,000 – 1,15,000
- Rs. 40,000 – 1,25,000
- Rs. 46,000 – 1,45,000
- Rs. 50,000 – 1,60,000
- CDA Pay Scales:
For PRCE Candidates
- Same pay scale requirements as for deputation candidates apply.
- Candidates must have retired from the substantive post in the supervisory grade. (MACP benefits will not be considered.)
Salary and Emoluments
For Candidates on Deputation
- Candidates selected on a deputation basis will continue to draw the parent department pay plus applicable deputation allowance as per Government rules.
For Candidates on PRCE Basis
- Candidates selected on post-retirement contractual engagement will receive a consolidated salary depending on their last held substantive pay grade as detailed below:

Selection Process
The selection process differs slightly based on the type of engagement.
For Deputation Candidates
- The selection process will be based solely on a Personal Interview.
For PRCE Candidates
- The selection process will consist of:
- Personal Interview, and
- Medical Fitness Examination (Medical standards must meet A-1 category, not below A-3).
