Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) Limited, a joint venture owned equally by the Government of India and the Government of Gujarat, is entrusted with the implementation of rail-based public transportation projects across Gujarat. GMRC is now inviting applications from qualified and experienced professionals for various posts to work on the Surat and Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project Phase II. The appointments will be on a contractual basis for a period of 3 to 5 years, as per the terms and conditions of the organization. Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications:
Experience Requirements:
- Candidates should have 10 years of relevant work experience in civil engineering, particularly in the field of construction, maintenance, design, or planning of rail-based urban mass transport systems, depending on the position applied for.
- Experience in the construction/maintenance of Ballastless track and handling of large civil engineering projects will be desirable for specific positions.
Specific Experience Requirements:
Individuals applying post-retirement must hold a minimum of 17 years of executive experience following their qualification, with at least 10 years specifically in a relevant area of expertise.
For CGM Level:
Applicants working in IDA scale/PSUs: Must have 17 years of post-qualification executive experience in civil engineering, with at least 10 years of relevant work experience.
Candidates serving under the CDA pay scale must have at least 17 years of post-qualification executive experience in civil engineering, with a minimum of 10 years in a related field of specialization.
Applicants from private sector civil engineering industries must have a minimum of 20 years in executive roles, with at least 10 years specifically in relevant areas of expertise.
Age Limit:
- For applying on contract: Maximum age is 57 years.
- The maximum age limit for candidates applying on a deputation basis is 58 years.
- For applying on post-superannuation basis: Maximum age is 62 years.
Salary
The selected candidates will be offered a competitive salary in the revised IDA scale of ₹120,000 to ₹280,000, depending on the level and experience of the candidate. The final compensation package will be in line with the candidate’s qualifications and experience and as per GMRC’s norms.
Selection Process
The selection process for the advertised positions will be as follows:
Document Verification: Before the interview, candidates will undergo a document verification process. Only those who successfully pass this step will be allowed to attend the interview.
Eligibility Check: Candidates will be assessed based on their eligibility, including qualifications and relevant work experience. Only those who meet the required criteria will be shortlisted for the interview.
Interview Process: Only candidates who are shortlisted will be invited to attend the interview. The exact date, time, and venue of the interview will be communicated to the shortlisted candidates through a call letter. Applicants are required to bring their original documents for verification at the time of the interview. Non-submission of original documents will result in disqualification from the selection process.
