Ad-Hoc Teaching Assistant Vacancy at the Department of Artificial Intelligence, SVNIT

Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat, is seeking candidates for the position of Teaching Assistant on a purely ad-hoc engagement, valid for a period of 11 months. The role is available in the Department of Artificial Intelligence (DoAI). The selected candidates will be engaged in assisting with academic and research activities in the department. Vacancy:

• This position is for Teaching Assistants in the Department of Artificial Intelligence at SVNIT.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the Teaching Assistant position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Category 1:
  • Educational Qualifications:
    • Candidates must have secured a First-Class or a minimum CGPA of 6.5 out of 10, or its equivalent, in their M.Tech. degree. / M.E.
    • A First-Class or an equivalent CGPA (minimum 6.5 on a scale of 10) in B.Tech. / B.E.
    • The candidate must have a good academic record.
  • Remuneration: Rs. 45,000 per month
• Category 2:
  • Educational Qualifications:
    • A Ph.D. in the appropriate branch
    • A minimum of First-Class or an equivalent CGPA of at least 6.5 out of 10 is required in both B.Tech./B.E. programs and M.Tech./M.E.
    • The candidate must have a good academic record.
  • Remuneration: Rs. 60,000 per month

Salary:

The salary for the Teaching Assistant position will depend on the candidate’s qualifications:

• For candidates with M.Tech./M.E. and B.Tech./B.E.: Rs. 45,000 per month
• For candidates with a Ph.D. in the appropriate branch: Rs. 60,000 per month

These amounts are fixed and will be provided for the duration of the 11-month contract. No other allowances or benefits will be provided during the tenure.

Selection Process:

• The recruitment procedure will include the following phases:
• Interview: Following the written test (if conducted), shortlisted candidates will undergo an interview with the department’s selection panel. The interview will evaluate the candidate’s technical knowledge, academic background, and overall suitability for the position.
• Candidates are required to complete their registration between 9:00 AM and 9:30 AM on the day of the walk-in interview.
